Why do I need this water system?
The purest and "softest" water is the vapor found in clouds. When it rains or snows, water flows over and seeps into the earth, absorbing calcium, magnesium, iron, and chloride salts, before reaching our reservoirs. These minerals are what make our water "hard".

The process:
As water flows through the water conditioner, the calcium, magnesium, and other hard water minerals are removed by an ion exchange water filter process, chlorine is also removed and the water is once again "soft" as its original form.
When the water conditioner becomes saturated with hard water minerals, the system goes automatically into cleaning mode. This water treatment process washes the hard water minerals down the drain, making it ready to condition the water again.

Your investment is protected with a 10-year warranty on the mineral tank. The mini water softener system is protected by a 5-year warranty.
What kind of maintenance is involved?
The only thing to do is to periodically check and fill with softener salt. Do not overfill the unit, only a few inches of salt is needed.
The water filtration system knows when it becomes saturated with hard water minerals dependent on water usage and automatically goes into a regeneration cleaning mode. This process is what washes the hard minerals down the drain, and is completely user-free.
